PALO ALTO — November 2, 2026. Palo Alto is hosting a free workshop with UC Master Gardeners of Santa Clara County on Sunday, November 15, 2026, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

Planning a small orchard

The November topic is planning and planting a little fruit orchard. The session is part of a seasonal gardening series that has also covered native plants, cut flowers and container gardening.

Location and price

Rinconada Library is at 1213 Newell Road. The city lists the workshop as free and names Kathy Harrington as the event contact at kathleen.harrington@paloalto.gov.

Ask site-specific questions

Before planting a tree, residents should consider sunlight, mature tree size, soil, irrigation and local climate. A one-hour class can introduce these subjects but does not substitute for verifying property setbacks, utility lines or plant-specific care.
